Our Story

Founded in 1955, the Helena Symphony has deep roots in the Helena community. Under the leadership of Music Director Allan R. Scott since 2003, the organization has transformed from a struggling entity into a vibrant cultural institution, significantly increasing its budget and audience size.

Impact on the Community

The Helena Symphony has made a remarkable impact, growing its budget from $180,000 to $1.3 million and attracting 1,500-1,800 attendees per performance. The annual free concert draws over 18,000 attendees, generating nearly $2 million in economic impact while providing access to music for families and supporting local food banks.
