Founded in 1981, the Helen Hayes Hospital Foundation, Inc. emerged from the vision of the legendary First Lady of the American Theater, Helen Hayes MacArthur, alongside her friends Jan and Niles M. Davies, Jr. Their commitment to supporting individuals facing life-altering disabilities led to the establishment of this vital organization. In 1999, the Foundation adopted its current name, continuing its mission to enhance the resources available for patients at Helen Hayes Hospital.
