Our Story

Founded in December 2008 by historic peace churches in the Philadelphia area, Heeding God’s Call aims to inspire hope and raise voices against gun violence. Through grassroots efforts and public advocacy, the organization has mobilized faith communities to take action, starting with persuading local gun shops to adopt a voluntary code of conduct to prevent illegal gun sales. Public vigils and rallies have led to significant changes in local gun shop practices, fostering a safer community.
