Our Story

Hearts That Purr Feline Guardians was founded by Jeanmarie Schiller-McGinnis in 2013, driven by the urgent need for a specialized rescue for cats left homeless due to the illness or death of their owners. The journey began with the rescue of two cats, Sam and Sal, after their 99-year-old owner passed away. This organization is dedicated to providing shelter and loving care for older cats and those with chronic health conditions, ensuring they find new loving homes or live out their lives in comfort.
