Our Story
In 1991, seven women united to form The Committee to End Elder Homelessness, driven by the belief that health and home are inseparable. Recognizing the growing number of elders among the homeless population, Hearth has become a leader in addressing this critical issue.
Our Impact
Hearth currently operates 228 units of permanent affordable housing, serving over 460 older adults annually in Greater Boston. Since its inception, Hearth has successfully housed 2,989 homeless and housing-insecure older adults.
