Heart for Monroe

Our Story

Heart for Monroe was inspired by a mission trip to the Dominican Republic in 2014, where the founders recognized that the needs of the people there mirrored those in their own community of Monroe, North Carolina. This realization sparked the creation of Heart for Monroe, a nonprofit dedicated to uniting and mobilizing churches, community organizations, ministries, businesses, and individuals to serve those in need right where they are.

Impact in the Community

Since its inception, Heart for Monroe has grown into a powerful network of over 200 churches, nonprofits, and ministries, extending its reach beyond Union County to places like Oklahoma and Louisiana. The organization has partnered with numerous local schools, including East Elementary and Monroe High, to provide essential services and support to students and families in need.
