Our Story

Founded in 2005, Heart and Soul Inc. is a peer-founded, operated, and governed organization dedicated to transforming mental health support in San Mateo County. With over 6000 program visits annually, the organization offers a variety of recovery-oriented and wellness support opportunities. Through innovative programs like one-on-one peer counseling, self-help groups, and mindfulness classes, Heart and Soul is committed to changing the conversation around mental health from Diagnosis to Dialogue.

Impact

Over the past 15 years, Heart and Soul has facilitated more than 90,000 Peer-to-Peer interactions, significantly impacting the lives of individuals facing mental health challenges. By providing mentoring, community resource engagement, and employment opportunities, Heart and Soul fosters a robust peer community that promotes mental resilience.
