Our Story

Founded in 1999, HealthQuest emerged from a collaboration between Carolinas Medical Center-Union, local pharmacists, and community leaders to tackle the urgent need for a free pharmacy in Union County. The staggering number of residents unable to afford their medications for chronic health conditions led to unnecessary emergency room visits and hospitalizations.
