Founded in 1986 by Bobby Bowman, a physician assistant and missionary, Health Caring Services began in a former orphanage in Sula, Honduras. The clinic quickly became a vital resource for those in need of specialized medical care. After a brief closure in 2002, dedicated fundraising efforts led to its reopening in 2003, continuing to serve the Honduran community.
From 2019 to March 2020, over 6,000 patients received care, and 602 surgeries were performed by 21 North American teams, showcasing the profound impact of this initiative.
