Our Story

Heal International Medical Missions (HIMM) was founded by Dr. Juan M. Padilla, a dedicated neurosurgeon, who felt a calling to serve the people of Ouanaminthe, Haiti. In 2005, Dr. Padilla led his first medical mission with a team from Puerto Rico, aiming to bring both medical care and the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the region. Over the years, HIMM has expanded its reach, partnering with local medical professionals and churches to address the spiritual and physical needs of communities in Haiti and beyond.

For over a decade, HIMM has been a vital conduit for medical professionals to provide essential healthcare services in underserved communities. Following the devastating earthquake in Haiti in 2010, HIMM has continued to serve, ensuring that those in need receive the surgical interventions and medical care they deserve.
