Our Story

Founded by Esther and Dante “Tony” Pistone in 2015, Headin’ Home is dedicated to creating a healing journey for both horses and humans. With Tony’s background as a Veteran of the United States Air Force, the mission is deeply personal. After losing a close friend to suicide, the Pistones established this nonprofit to help others find healing, purpose, and safety.

Impact

Headin’ Home offers free equine therapy to Veterans and First Responders, aiding in their recovery from PTSD and other traumatic injuries. Additionally, the organization rescues and rehabilitates horses, providing a sanctuary for both domestic and wild equines.
