Our Story

The Head Injury Association was founded on Long Island in 1988 by a group of dedicated parents seeking services for their children affected by traumatic brain injuries (TBI). Faced with a lack of support, these families came together to create a community that would provide essential services and foster independence for TBI survivors. In 1993, the Hy Feinstein Clubhouse opened its doors, offering a nurturing environment where members can explore their skills and interests.
