Our Story
In 1995, a dedicated group of staff at Oakland Mills High School in Columbia, Maryland, recognized the urgent need to address the rising trend of substance abuse among teens. This grassroots initiative expanded into the Eastern Coalition Against Substance Abuse, leading to the formation of HC DrugFree in March 2004. With 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, HC DrugFree collaborates with local schools, community organizations, and government entities to provide essential resources and education on prevention, treatment, recovery, and wellness.
