Our Story
The Hawaii Rotary Youth Foundation (HRYF) was established in 1976 by Maurice J. “Sully” Sullivan, aiming to support Hawaii’s high school graduates in pursuing their educational dreams. Since its inception, HRYF has awarded 1,750 scholarships, totaling over $6.4 million, enabling students to attend colleges and universities across Hawaii and the mainland United States. In honor of Sully’s legacy, the foundation created the Maurice J. Sullivan Scholar Award and the Joanna Lau Sullivan Scholar Award, each valued at $10,000.
