Our Story
The Hawai‘i Branch of the International Dyslexia Association (HIDA) was founded to enhance awareness of dyslexia and provide essential support to individuals and families affected by this learning difference. Established in the early 1980s by dedicated educators inspired by the Orton Society, HIDA has evolved from a small group of 18 members to a robust community of over 100 members, managing an annual budget exceeding $100,000.
