About The Haven Home

The Haven Home was established in 2017 as a family overflow shelter dedicated to serving homeless women and their children in Cuyahoga County. Initially, it provided temporary emergency shelter from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. on weekdays and all day on weekends and holidays. The need for such a service became even more critical during the COVID-19 pandemic when public spaces closed, leaving families without safe places to go. In August 2019, The Haven Home expanded its services to operate 24 hours a day, offering a range of programs including art therapy, parenting support, career coaching, and housing workshops.

Impact of The Haven Home

In 2023, The Haven Home successfully sheltered numerous families and children, distributed essential items like diapers, and engaged volunteers in impactful programs, showcasing a strong commitment to moving families from poverty to prosperity.
