Our Story
The Haudenosaunee Nationals, formerly known as the Iroquois Nationals Men's Lacrosse Team, was established in 1983 under the sanction of the Grand Council of the Haudenosaunee. This organization embodies the spirit of lacrosse, a game deeply rooted in Haudenosaunee tradition, symbolizing health, strength, and community. In 2022, the name was officially changed to Haudenosaunee Nationals to better reflect the inclusive nature of the teams representing the Six Nations Confederacy. As the governing body for lacrosse within the Haudenosaunee, the organization is dedicated to promoting the sport and ensuring the Haudenosaunee people gain the international recognition they deserve, especially as they prepare for potential competition in the 2028 Olympics.
