Our Story
Safehope, formerly known as the Harvey County Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Taskforce, was established on March 15, 1990. This organization is dedicated to providing advocacy and support to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in Harvey County, Kansas, and has expanded its reach to McPherson and Marion counties. Safehope aims to create a safe environment for survivors to access essential resources and support as they heal from trauma.
Impact
Since its inception, Safehope has served over 20,000 survivors, offering crucial support and advocacy. The organization operates a 24-hour helpline and provides emergency shelter, courtroom advocacy, and community resource referrals to those in need.
