Founded in 2007 by Dr. Howard Olds and community leaders, Harvest Hands Community Development Corporation is dedicated to uplifting under-resourced neighborhoods in Nashville. The journey began with a vision to create positive change, leading to the establishment of afterschool programs and community initiatives that address the needs of local youth.

Harvest Hands started by purchasing an abandoned home in the Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood, transforming it into a vibrant community hub known as "The Harvest House." This initiative was born from the community's desire for safe, constructive activities for students after school. Since then, Harvest Hands has become a beacon of hope, providing educational support, sports leagues, and leadership opportunities for over 2,000 students.

With a commitment to healthy living, education, spiritual formation, and economic development, Harvest Hands has made a significant impact on the lives of students and their families. The organization has employed over 150 students, many of whom have progressed to leadership roles and successful careers.
