About Harvard Conservation Trust

The Harvard Conservation Trust (HCT) is a dedicated non-profit land trust established in 1973, focused on preserving the unique character and natural resources of Harvard, Massachusetts. By acquiring land through gifts or purchases, HCT complements the efforts of the Town Conservation Commission to protect rural character, farmlands, and ecological resources.

Impact of HCT

Since its founding, HCT has successfully protected over 850 acres in Harvard, currently owning 317 acres and managing 20 conservation restrictions for an additional 418 acres. This ensures that wildlife can thrive and that water resources are sustainably managed.
