Our Story

In 1976, domestic violence was a hidden crisis in Connecticut, with victims lacking dedicated support services. Recognizing the urgent need for intervention, a group of compassionate women from the Asylum Hill Congregational Church and the community came together to establish Interval House in February 1977. This pioneering organization has since evolved into a comprehensive support agency, dedicated to serving over 6,500 clients annually across 24 towns in Connecticut.

Our Impact

Interval House provides a range of essential services at no cost, including a 24-hour hotline, safety planning, crisis counseling, emergency safe housing, and legal advocacy. These services empower victims to reclaim their lives and find safety and support.
