Our Story
The Harry Tompson Center was founded in 2001 by Father Harry Tompson, S.J., initially serving the pastoral needs of the Immaculate Conception Parish. Over the years, it has evolved to provide essential services to the unhoused community in New Orleans, including hygiene, health, and housing navigation. Following Hurricane Katrina, the center relocated and expanded its services, now assisting approximately 200 individuals daily with a holistic approach to care and support.
