Our Story

Founded in 1905, YWCA National Capital Area is one of the oldest and largest multicultural organizations in Washington, DC. The organization is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.

Impact

YWCA National Capital Area provides essential services and advocacy to support marginalized individuals, particularly women and girls of color. With over 200 families served weekly through its food pantry and a 94% completion rate in its Career Education and Training Center, the organization is making a significant difference in the community.
