In 2011, Doug Probst, Roger Rawlins, and Bill Jordan envisioned a program to coach high school student-athletes, leveraging the life lessons learned through sports. This vision led to the establishment of Handshake Foundation in 2012, which evolved into Handshake America in 2015. The program has since expanded into multiple regions, coaching over 500 student-athletes and granting nearly $600,000 in scholarships.
By 2024, Handshake America has coached 534 student-athletes, granting nearly $600,000 in scholarships. Alumni have enrolled in 130 colleges across 25 states, positively influencing their communities.
