Our Story

In 2016, Brian Matthews, the Founder and President of Hands for an African Child, visited Uganda and witnessed the heartbreaking conditions faced by orphaned children. This experience ignited a passion to help, leading to the establishment of the organization. The mission is to create family-style homes that provide love, education, and essential life skills to empower these children to become self-reliant adults.

Impact

Hands for an African Child is dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty for orphaned children in Uganda. With the successful construction of family homes, a health clinic, and educational facilities, the organization has positively impacted the lives of over 200 children.
