Hands Across the Sea

Our Story

Founded in 2007 by Harriet and Tom Linskey, Hands Across the Sea emerged from a passion for sailing and a commitment to education. Witnessing the lack of reading materials in schools during their travels in the Eastern Caribbean, they dedicated their efforts to enhancing literacy for children in this region.

Impact

With over half a million new books placed in 883 schools and 55 community libraries, Hands Across the Sea has reached more than 140,000 children, significantly boosting literacy rates.
