In 2013, a group of talented musicians from various backgrounds, including active and retired military, teachers, and students, came together to create the Hampton Roads Philharmonic. Under the leadership of Music Director Steven Brindle, this orchestra has become a vital part of the Hampton Roads cultural landscape, presenting over twenty-five performances at local venues.
The Hampton Roads Philharmonic regularly engages with the community by providing chamber ensembles for local events and commissioning new works. With at least eight new compositions premiered over six seasons, the orchestra continues to inspire and entertain.
