Our Story

Founded by Alvina Hammer in 1923, Hammer Residences has dedicated nearly a century to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Merging with Northeast Residence, which has served the community for 50 years, this organization has become one of Minnesota's largest nonprofit residential service providers. Together, they create a loving and supportive environment, helping individuals achieve their goals and aspirations.
