Hamilton Medical Center, originally known as Hamilton Memorial Hospital, was established in 1921 to address the healthcare needs following the 1918 flu epidemic. Over the years, it has evolved to meet the growing demands of the community, including the formation of the Whitfield Healthcare Foundation in 1975 to enhance private support.

With significant advancements in healthcare access and quality, Hamilton Medical Center has established a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and expanded surgical and emergency services, positively impacting thousands of lives, especially in maternal and infant care.
