Our Story

In 1999, six parishioners and the pastor of St. Philip the Apostle Parish in Lewisville, Texas, embarked on a Food For the Poor Pilgrimage to Haiti. Witnessing the dire conditions faced by the poorest of the poor, they took action by building a clinic in Boileau. This initiative expanded to include education, clean water, and agricultural development, focusing on self-sustainability for the communities served.

Impact

Since its inception, Haitian Pilgrims has empowered several villages in Haiti to become self-sustaining through agriculture training, micro-credit loans, clean water initiatives, and medical support, significantly enhancing the quality of life for villagers.
