Transforming Lives Through Education

The Haitian Education & Leadership Program (HELP) began with a single act of kindness: a donation that enabled a young Haitian woman, Dr. Isemonde Joseph, to pursue her dream of becoming a doctor. Growing up in poverty, she faced numerous challenges, including inadequate healthcare and discrimination. With the support of her English teacher, Conor Bohan, Dr. Joseph completed her medical degree in 2005 and now serves her community with compassion and skill.

Since its inception, HELP has transformed the lives of over 200 students by providing full tuition, housing, living stipends, textbooks, and essential supplies. In addition to academic support, HELP offers English, IT, and Citizenship & Leadership classes, equipping students with the skills necessary to thrive in the workforce and become agents of change in their communities.
