About Haiti Projects
Founded in 1994 by Sarah Hackett, Haiti Projects began as a response to the severe poverty affecting health and well-being in Fond des Blancs, Haiti. The organization started with a women's health clinic and has since expanded to include an Artisanat Cooperative, providing employment and income to women. Today, Haiti Projects is a vital part of the community, offering services such as a community library, girls soccer club, and beekeeping program.
Impact of Haiti Projects
In 2023, Haiti Projects employed 110 individuals, produced 2,635 artisan products, served 4,365 patients at the health clinic, and supported 703 library members and 118 girls in soccer. This impact empowers women and their families, fostering a brighter future.
