Habitat for Humanity El Paso

Our Story

Founded in 1981, Habitat for Humanity of El Paso is one of the oldest Habitat affiliates in Texas. This organization is dedicated to providing affordable housing to families in El Paso County. By engaging local companies and volunteers, Habitat for Humanity recruits generous contributions of time, talent, materials, and funds to build and renovate homes for low-income families. Rather than offering free housing, Habitat provides a 'hand up' by making housing costs and financing more affordable, empowering families to take on mortgage payments while contributing their own time and labor to the building process.

Our Impact

Each year, Habitat for Humanity of El Paso provides critical home repairs for 32 families and builds or renovates 43 homes for those in need. Access to safe and affordable homes breaks the cycle of poverty, enhances academic success, and boosts the local economy.
