Building Homes, Building Hope
Aiken County Habitat for Humanity (ACHFH) was established in 1988 by dedicated community members, spearheaded by St. John’s United Methodist Church. The organization has made significant strides in providing safe and affordable housing for low-income families across Aiken County, including Aiken, North Augusta, Jackson, Warrenville, and Montmorenci. Since the dedication of its first house on April 30, 1989, ACHFH has successfully completed over 125 homes, with 23% of these mortgages fully paid off.
Empowering Families Through Homeownership
ACHFH has consistently serviced approximately 75 active partner family mortgages each year since 2016, striving to build four new homes annually. The organization also opened its first ReStore in 1996, which has grown from generating $30,000 in annual revenue to an impressive $25,000 per month, providing essential funding for its mission.
