Our Story

In the late 1980s, a group of dedicated LunchBreak volunteers discovered that many individuals they were feeding were living in substandard housing. This revelation led to the formation of HABcore, named in memory of three homeless men who tragically froze to death on the streets of Red Bank. Since its inception in 1988, HABcore has grown from a single boarding home housing five residents to a robust organization supporting approximately 400 individuals, including families and veterans, across Monmouth and Ocean County.
