Discover the Beauty of Marie Selby Botanical Gardens

Marie Selby Botanical Gardens spans 45 acres of stunning bayfront sanctuaries, dedicated to connecting people with the world’s air plants, native nature, and regional history. Established by visionary women, Selby Gardens features a 15-acre Downtown Sarasota campus and a 30-acre Historic Spanish Point campus. The Downtown Campus is unique as the only botanical garden globally focused on epiphytic orchids, bromeliads, gesneriads, ferns, and other tropical plants. Since 1973, scientists have explored some of the wildest places on Earth to study and learn from these remarkable plants.

Impacting Lives and Nature

Selby Gardens serves as a respected center for research and education, welcoming over 200,000 visitors annually. Through citizen science initiatives, the organization has documented over 1,474 species in the Sarasota-Manatee area, enhancing local biodiversity knowledge and conservation efforts.
