Founded in 2014 by CEO Latisha Owens, Guiding Light Mentoring was born from a divine calling to support youth in making positive life choices. Starting with just five mentors and mentees, the organization has expanded its reach, empowering young people aged 8-18 in the Greater Cincinnati area.
In 2024, Guiding Light Mentoring served 818 youth and logged 1,654 volunteer hours. Remarkably, 70% of participants achieved passing grades in their academic pursuits, showcasing the effectiveness of the mentoring programs.
