Our Story

In 1981, the Central City Churches Outreach Ministry recognized the urgent need for a community-based solution to homelessness in Milwaukee. This led to the establishment of Guest House in 1982, dedicated to addressing the short-term needs of those experiencing homelessness. Over the years, the organization has expanded its services, including permanent supportive housing and a counseling clinic, significantly impacting the lives of over 1,229 individuals and families.

Impact

Since its inception, Guest House has provided a comprehensive range of services to combat homelessness, sheltering 86 men each night and engaging over 1,000 volunteers. The organization’s efforts have transformed thousands of lives in Milwaukee.
