Our Story

Guatemalan Educational Outreach (GEO) was founded by Forrest Day and Fr. Miguel Alvizures, who experienced firsthand the transformative power of education in Guatemala. Growing up, Father Miguel was the only student in his class to complete high school and attend college. Inspired by his journey, he sought to provide similar opportunities for the children of Joya Honda. Together with Forrest Day, they established GEO to make quality education accessible to those in need.

Our Impact

GEO is dedicated to changing the future for students in rural Joya Honda through The Little Mountain School. By providing a quality education, GEO empowers students to secure better employment opportunities and earn living wages as adults.
