Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue, Inc. (GOFAR) was founded by a passionate group of professional women committed to giving a voice to voiceless animals. Established in April 2021, GOFAR focuses on educating the public about responsible pet ownership, rescuing animals from abusive situations, and providing sanctuary for those who cannot be adopted.
Since its inception, GOFAR has successfully placed over 800 animals into loving forever homes, with a goal of reaching nearly 1,000 by the end of 2023. The organization has expanded its capacity to care for animals, now averaging 130-140 animals daily at its new facility in Fort Myers.
