About the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center

Founded nearly thirty-six years ago by a dedicated group of Chicano/a artists, the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center (GCAC) has played a pivotal role in shaping the artistic and cultural landscape of San Antonio. This vibrant multidisciplinary cultural arts center emerged from the efforts of the Performance Artists’ Nucleus (PAN), a proactive group advocating for the preservation and promotion of Chicano, Latino, and Native American culture.
