Our Story

Petra Community Housing, formerly known as Phoenixville Homes, was established in 1994 by the Phoenixville Area Council of Churches to address the pressing need for affordable housing. Over the years, the organization has evolved from providing small grants to developing and managing multiple affordable housing properties for seniors, families, and individuals with disabilities.

Our Impact

To date, Petra Community Housing has successfully developed 139 affordable rental housing units for very low-income elderly and adults with disabilities, while also assisting over 30 families in becoming first-time homebuyers in the greater Phoenixville area.
