Addressing Loneliness

Our Story

The Growing Kindness Project was founded by Deanna Kitchen, who transformed her experience with loneliness and postpartum depression into a mission of kindness. By sharing flowers with care home residents, she ignited a movement that blossomed into a global initiative. Today, the organization empowers individuals to grow and give flowers, fostering connections and joy in communities worldwide.

Our Impact

With over 14,800 bouquets shared and 9,500 dahlia tubers distributed, the Growing Kindness Project has made a significant impact on communities around the globe. The Holiday Cheer Campaign has expanded from 200 bouquets in its inaugural year to over 3,450 arrangements, benefiting food banks and senior living facilities.
