Our Story

Growing Community Roots was established to continue the impactful ministry of Sister Rosita Aranita CSJ in southwest Kenya, where poverty affects eight out of ten individuals. The organization emerged from Sister Rosita's connection with a Kenyan student, leading to a profound understanding of the community's pressing needs. Since its official establishment in 2014, the nonprofit has focused on fundraising for safe water and sanitation projects in schools, collaborating with local NGOs to implement these vital initiatives.
