Our Story

The Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund was founded in 2007 by NFL legend Jerry Kramer, inspired by a personal experience with his Super Bowl ring. This organization aims to provide financial grants and pro bono medical assistance to retired NFL players facing significant hardships after their careers. Under the leadership of Mike Ditka since 2008, GGAF has expanded its programs to better support these athletes.

Impact

Over 2,500 retired NFL players have received vital medical and financial assistance through GGAF, addressing the challenges they encounter post-football.
