Our Story

More than half a century ago, the women of the Trenton Ladies Sick Benefit Society recognized a vital need in the community for a home dedicated to elderly Jewish individuals requiring medical, nursing, and personal care. In 1939, they purchased and renovated a spacious residence on Greenwood Avenue, establishing the Home for the Aged Sons and Daughters of Israel. Over the years, the organization has evolved, changing its name and expanding its services to meet the growing needs of the community, ultimately becoming Greenwood House, now serving seniors of all faiths.

Impact

Greenwood House provides a continuum of care that includes skilled nursing, rehabilitation, assisted living, homecare services, and hospice care. The focus is on the physical, cognitive, and social well-being of residents, ensuring they experience the highest quality of life possible.
