Greens Bayou Coalition

Our Story

The Greens Bayou Corridor Coalition emerged from a task force established in 2002 to tackle flooding issues following Tropical Storm Allison. Recognized as a 501(c)(3) organization in December 2007, the Coalition focuses on improving the quality of life for residents along the bayou through advocacy for flood resilience, park development, and environmental preservation.

Impact

With $55 million secured for the Federal Flood Damage Reduction Project, the Coalition has initiated $120 million in flood mitigation projects, enhancing the Greens Bayou area.
