Our Story

Founded in 2013 by filmmakers and entrepreneurs Ciara Byrne and Kim McQuarrie, Green Our Planet believes every student deserves the chance to learn science in a school garden or hydroponics lab. The mission is to increase joy and equity in communities by empowering individuals to grow food and connect with nature.

Impact

In the 2022-2023 school year, independent research showed that 93% of students increased their STEM knowledge, while 83% improved their behavior and healthy eating habits through Green Our Planet's programs.
