The Green & Healthy Homes Initiative, originally founded in 1986 as Parents Against Lead, has evolved into a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to eradicating childhood lead poisoning and promoting healthy homes. Tasked by the White House Office of Recovery in 2008, GHHI integrates lead hazard control, healthy housing, and energy efficiency to create safer living environments for families in need.
