Our Story

Green Bronx Machine was founded by educator Stephen Ritz and his students, who recognized the link between health and academic performance. What began as an after-school initiative has blossomed into a comprehensive K-12+ program, integrating gardening and nutrition into the core curriculum.

Impact

With over 867,310 servings of fruits and vegetables provided, Green Bronx Machine has grown over 17,823 pounds of produce and reached 275,927 students, fostering a love for healthy eating.
